RS19 was launched in 2021 by founder Robbie Simpson, a former professional footballer. The Practice's name ‘RS19’ can be explained in two parts; RS comes from Robbie’s initials, the founder of the company. 19 has two references that are important to Robbie which marked the start of the next chapter in his working life - 2019 was the year Robbie retired from professional football, and also Robbie’s very last squad number in football was, you guessed it, 19!

Robbie qualified as an Adviser through the renowned St. James's Place Financial Adviser Academy. However, no sooner had he started on the next stage of this new career, we were hit by the first national lockdown due to Covid-19 (another coincidence with our name!).

Robbie had to quickly adapt his ‘face-to-face’ training to be able to continue this next stage online, using platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams. Thinking on his feet (!) is something Robbie is used to and despite all the challenges we’ve faced in the last 18 months, he’s enjoying his new role so much he has now taken the step to start his own business as RS19 Ltd.
